Our approach
About Zombie Cell Science
Zombie Cell Science is an independent educational resource focused on cellular senescence, senolytics, fisetin, and emerging healthy-aging research.
The science around senescent cells — often called “zombie cells” — is fascinating and fast-moving. It can also be buried under technical language, exaggerated promises, and confusing wellness marketing.
Our goal is to make that research easier to understand without turning preliminary science into promises.
What you will find here
- Plain-English explanations of cellular-senescence research
- Evidence-based discussions of senolytics, fisetin, and related longevity research
- Links to original studies, clinical-trial records, and authoritative scientific sources
- Clear distinctions between laboratory research, animal studies, early human trials, and established human evidence
- Honest discussion of what researchers know, what remains uncertain, and where evidence is still developing
How we research our articles
We prioritize primary and authoritative sources whenever possible. These include peer-reviewed research indexed in PubMed, registered clinical trials, systematic reviews, government and academic research resources, and other respected scientific sources.
When discussing an experimental compound or intervention, we pay particular attention to the level of evidence behind the claim. Results from cells or animals are not presented as though they have already been proven in humans.
Scientific review
Zombie Cell Science’s research and educational content is reviewed with doctoral-level scientific oversight.
Our scientific advisor has a doctoral background in theoretical physics and reviews the evidence, scientific reasoning, and presentation of research used in our educational materials.
This scientific review is intended to improve accuracy, clarity, and evidence interpretation. It does not constitute medical review, diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical advice.
Evidence before hype
Longevity research moves quickly, and promising findings are often presented online as though they are already proven. We take a more cautious approach.
When evidence is preliminary, we say so. When a study has important limitations, we explain them. When researchers are still testing an idea in humans, we distinguish that from an established clinical result.
We believe exciting science does not need hype. The strongest information is specific, source-backed, and clear about the difference between a promising research direction and a proven result.
Keeping information current
Scientific understanding changes over time. Articles on Zombie Cell Science may be reviewed and updated as new studies, clinical-trial results, safety information, or higher-quality evidence become available.
Where possible, we provide links to the underlying research so readers can examine the evidence for themselves.
Editorial independence
Zombie Cell Science may use affiliate links or other commercial relationships to help support the site. Commercial relationships do not determine our interpretation of scientific research.
Where a financial or affiliate relationship exists, it will be disclosed clearly.
What we are not
Zombie Cell Science is an educational resource, not a medical practice. Our content does not provide individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or recommendations to start, stop, or change medications or supplements.
For personal health decisions, readers should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Our goal
Our goal is simple: help curious people understand the science, evaluate the strength of the evidence, and ask better questions about emerging longevity research.
